Terms of Service.

The agreement for using this site, including how the affiliate links work. Short, and in plain English.

These terms are the agreement between you and Less-Tools.com (“Less Tools”, “we”, “us”), operated by JuneAye. By reading the site, clicking our links, or joining the email list, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Nothing here is meant to trap you; it is the ordinary set of expectations that lets an independent publisher put honest reviews online.

What this site is

and what it is not

Less Tools publishes one person’s independent opinions about business software: which tools are worth paying for, which to cancel, and how to do the job with fewer of them. It is editorial commentary and general information, written from real use. It is not professional, legal, financial, tax, or technical advice, and it is not a promise that any tool will work for your situation. Prices, features, and free tiers change constantly; we verify them when we publish and note the date, but you should confirm the current details on the tool’s own site before you buy. Decisions you make based on what you read here are your own.

Affiliate disclosure

the money, stated plainly

Some of the outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change the price you pay. We participate in affiliate programs run by the tools we cover and by networks such as Impact, PartnerStack, and ShareASale.

This is worth repeating because it is the whole basis of trust here: the payout never picks the list. Tools are chosen on merit, and we recommend things we run ourselves and cancel things that stopped earning their place, whether or not there is a commission attached. Where a commission exists, you will see it treated the same as any other link. This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements.

Third-party sites and tools

we point, we do not control

When we link to another company’s website, product, or offer, we do not control it and are not responsible for its content, pricing, availability, terms, or the way it handles your data. A link is not an endorsement of everything that company does. Once you leave this site, that company’s own terms and privacy policy apply to you. Any dealing you have with a tool or merchant is strictly between you and them.

Our content and your use of it

what you can and cannot do

The writing, layout, and design on this site are ours (or used with permission) and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote a short passage with credit and a link back. You may not republish articles wholesale, sell our content, or scrape the site to train a model or build a competing directory without written permission. Tool names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only. The prompts we publish are free to copy and use as noted on that page.

The newsletter and acceptable use

the ground rules

If you subscribe, you are asking us to email you and confirming the address is yours to use. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click. In return, please use the site normally: do not attempt to break, overload, hack, or disrupt it, do not use it for anything unlawful, and do not misuse the contact channels. We may restrict access if the site is being abused.

No warranties

the site is provided as-is

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep the information correct and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free, or continuously available, and we are not obliged to update any article. You use the site at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of liability

the legal ceiling

To the fullest extent the law allows, Less Tools and JuneAye will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any lost profits, savings, or data, arising from your use of the site, your reliance on anything you read here, or your dealings with any tool or merchant we link to. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

Changes, law, and contact

the closing

We may update the site and these terms as things change; the current version always lives at this page with an effective date at the top, and continuing to use the site means you accept the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
